About the Item
A large Italian blue-ground porcelain ewer in the Capodimonte taste, its ovoid body carried on the shoulders of three cherubs above a square plinth. Rope-twist handles, a pierced gilt rim band with floral roundels and a ribbon-tied tassel complete the exuberant Rococo Revival composition. Blue underglaze factory mark inside the base. Dimensions: Not available — no measurement photos in set Signed with a blue underglaze factory mark inside the base (photo 08): stylized crossed-lines/fish-like motif, unidentified — NOT the Capodimonte crown-N. Do not name a factory. Mid-20th century Italian, Capodimonte taste. Lid photographed separately (photo 06). Note: Photo 07 shows a white adhesive label stuck on the rim band — note for condition check; rim should be inspected for chips under the label.
